All of our cattle are not slaughtered and sold in our beef market.
We also sell feeder calves, bred heifers, bulls and cows.
We have two calving seasons ... spring and fall. We wean at about 6 months. At this time, calves are vaccinated, banded and pre-conditioned for six weeks before selling as feeders and/or replacement heifers.
We do some AI breeding. Occasionally, we will AI breed and follow-up with a clean up bull. We will do a blood pregnancy test and sell some of our bred heifers and cows at area sales or direct to another farm.
